Sec Update April 2021
Greeting members, I hope you all had a good Easter in the current circumstances.Apologies for lack of contact since my February email but I had nothing to relate really and as you are aware with the current continuing restrictions we are not allowed to meet and would have no place to assemble anyway and with no imminent lifting of restrictions it seems that situation will continue for some time.
Hopefully all our members have been doing well in the pandemic and thankfully we havent lost any members since January.
Also hopefully many of our members have by this stage been vaccinated and the rest are moving up the list.
As you may be aware the INTO Annual Congress is underway at the present time and I am letting you know that our RTAI President Mary Kyne will be addressing the Congress on this Wednesday morning at 10.00am and anyone wishing to hear her speech can do so through the INTO Website.Also Mr. Joe McKeown who has been the District 10 (Laois plus) CEC Rep in recent years will assume the INTO Presidency at the end of Congress. He would be well known to many of our members who were involved with INTO and we wish him good luck in the role.
Meanwhile the RTAI National Convention which normally takes place in March takes place via Zoom/online on Tuesday 13th April. Laois branch will be represented by Chairman John Mulhare and myself (secretary).
