Sec Update July 17
Dear membersThe AUGUST MONTHLY MEETING of LAOIS RTAI is on TUESDAY next 1ST AUGUST and following the satisfaction with our last get together in Durrow Castle we have another change of location (on suggestion of Catherine Coleman) with EMO COURT as the venue and our usual 2.30 pm rendez-vouz.Attendance at Emo is not as formal as Durrow so you dont have to inform me and the tea/refreshments if required are on a more casual basis (as in ~ look after yourself !!!).The attendance in Durrow was about 25 and all seemed to enjoy the formal tea and scones and the informal walk around the gardens so hopefully we can have a good attendance again.
I wish to remind anyone who is interested in a RTAI trip to Derry (Literary/Cultural Tour) in conjunction with the Carlow RTAI group departing Wed 27th September and returning Fri 29th September that the closing date is imminent.If you wish to see more details re this trip please see attachment to this email (Margaret Keegan Carlow) and if interested please send deposit of € 35 to Catherine Coleman,Dunamase,Stradbally,Co. Laois by this Friday 28th July.Alternatively you may text Catherine at 087-2274959 and let her know by Friday and then pay deposit at Tuesday's Meeting which will be the absolute dead-line.
Also a reminder that the start date of BRIDGE LESSONS in Laois Education Centre is fast approaching (September) so if you are interested and have not already informed me please let me know by email or text (087-6324547) or at meeting on Tuesday next.
Our IT Co-ordinator Paddy Bates has informed me that the Laois RTAI website is now available on a link from the RTAI website and I remind you again that you can see all the latest news etc. (re meetings and so on)on the Laois Website.If you have any items of interest or photos Paddy would welcome them too.
Also a reminder that the next RTAI Laois Golf outing is on the 4th September (first Monday of September) so instead of it being a Back-to-school Day it can be a relaxing day on the Golf Course in Roscrea.More details will be available shortly.
