Season’s Greetings- members Laois RTAI.
There was a good turn-out at our Retired Teachers and Friends GOLF OUTING in The Heath Golf Club on Monday last and with very favourable weather for the time of year the golfing was enjoyed by all. As it was the last golf of the year all the prizes were given out and all golf participants went home with a prize as did some of the members (quite a few) who turned up for the apres-golf in The Heath Golf Club. Thanks to Maureen O Leary for co-ordinating the event with her home club. Also thanks to Maura Horan for preparing the prizes and of course Mary McCarthy for her overall work through-out the year with the golf competitions. After lunch all stayed on for a sing-song in the club-house which was led by Paddy Bates on accordeon and Paud O Reilly on guitar (some photos on web-site).
Our next event is our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING on TUESDAY NEXT 11TH DECEMBER with assembly at LAOIS EDUCATION CENTRE,BLOCK ROAD,PORTLAOISE at 11.00AM with tea/coffee available before 11.30 AM start. After the meeting a complementary lunch will be served .
