May Update 2018
There was a reasonable attendance at the May Social Meeting in the Maldron on Tuesday last-enough to make 4 teams for an enjoyable and informative Table Quiz with Mick Lenihan in his usual Quiz master/setter role.
Thanks to Mick for his questions including Dingbats and other brain-teasers
The next social gathering planned is a GOLF OUTING in PORTARLINGTON GOLF CLUB on FRIDAY 18TH MAY which is being organised mainly by Paddy Bates .Hopefully youve all noticed an earlier email with information and more details which Ive forwarded
Hopefully with good weather we will have a good attendance.Remember that it has to start sharply at 11am so if interested please be in attendance by 10.45.If you are interested in attending please let Paddy know by email (paddybates42@gmail.com) or contact myself by phone/text (0876324547) or email (seanmullaney@eircom.net) as Paddy will need some ideas of numbers.
There will be no first Tuesday Social in June due to the proximity to the RTAI GENERAL MEETING on Thursday 7TH JUNE but it is hoped to repeat our Social Meeting with Afternoon Tea in Durrow Castle on July 3rd (first Tuesday)
You can keep up to date with Laois RTAI activities by checking our website which is maintained by Paddy Bates (RTAI Laois will get you there quickly) Also it regularly informs of local events etc not with RTAI related but which might be of interest to retired people (eg currently Bealtaine Festival,Library events etc.)
