Sec Update October 17
Hi members Laois RTAI,
We had a reasonable turn-out at the 3rd October Informal Meeting at the Maldron Hotel with good chat over a cuppa and our National reps Sheelagh and Mary Mc keeping us up to date on developments at national level.Our next social MEETING is on Tuesday next 7TH NOVEMBER in the MALDRON HOTEL, PORTLAOISE at the usual 2.30pm. Mick Lenihan will be back with another TABLE QUIZ which will no doubt prove to be informative and entertaining so hopefully as many as possible will come along.
I'm giving you advance notice of our December Meetings etc. Our AGM is on TUESDAY 12 DECEMBER in the LAOIS EDUCATION CENTRE with a 11.30 start preceded by tea/coffee and followed by lunch at the Centre.Consequently there will be no first Tuesday meeting as such in December as on the first Tuesday 5TH DECEMBER there will be a GOLF OUTING in MOUNTRATH GOLF CLUB which will be followed by a social gathering of golfers and anyone else that wishes to join in. More details re golf later.
If anyone has any motions or ideas for motions for National Convention in March 2018 please have them ready for our AGM in December as the closing date for motions is December 31.Also if you want to nominate anyone for a position at National Level please do so at the AGM.
There is a big draft proposal to change the organisation to a COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE so if you have any opinions on the matter please present them at our AGM.
