Greetings to Laois RTAI members,
February is slipping by and I’m just reminding you of our next upcoming MONTHLY SOCIAL- a CINEMA MORNING in DUNAMAISE THEATRE in PORTLAOISE on WEDNESDAY 8TH MARCH with an 11.00 AM start for the screening of ROISE AND FRANK- another Irish Language Film (with sub-titles of course). I have booked a total of 30 tickets for the theatre and there are a few places still left.The RTAI branch is paying for the tickets (still well-off post Covid non spending years).If you have already given me your name (at February meeting or email since) and have changed your mind about attending please let me know as soon as possible. If you are interested in attending and have not contacted me please let me know in next day or two as Dunamase will be releasing on-hold tickets.
Other news for Drama fans is that the Mountmellick annual Drama Festival featuring Drama Groups from over the country takes place from Friday 3rd to Friday 10th March (8 nights) at the Mountmellick Arts Centre in the town. Season tickets (8 plays) for the festival can be bought at the venue on the opening night or online (and are €45 for OAPs) but you can attend individual plays as usual (.
