Sec Update April 2017
Hi Members,
We had a great turn-out at our monthly informal get-together in the Maldron Hotel on Tuesday 4TH April.The main event was a table quiz and we had 7 teams of 3 and Mick Lenihan as Quizmaster with 60 questions to test our brain power.A score of 50 by a team comprising Paddy Bates,Anne Curtin and Catherine O Connor came out on top.This was our second quiz of this year and seemed to be enjoyed by the participants who went home with more knowledge than they arrived with.
For anyone interested in Quizzes and keeping in touch with childrens knowledge this years Cumann na mBunscol Quiz by yours truly will be available on the Laois RTAI Website.It was held in March so a few of the questions will be dated The Quiz was won by Knock NS with a score of 68 out of 80 so you can check if you are smarter than a 11/12 year old.
It was great to have our former chairperson Catherine Coleman back with us in great form on Tuesday and we wish her continued good health.
Best wishes to 3 of our members Grainne Molloy,Mary Delaney and Helen Collier who will be subjects of a Mountrath INTO Retirement Presentation on this Friday 7th April.It is hoped that as many as possible of our retired invited colleagues who were members of Mountrath INTO will attend the function in Mountrath Golf Club (8 pm starting time).
