Subject: LAOIS RTAI NOVEMBER SOCIAL

Hope all ‘enjoying ‘the great weather mix.
Just confirmation re. our November Social as suggested in previous e-mail. It will be a Table Quiz with Mick Lenihan as the quiz-master (as frequently, previously) on TUESDAY 7th NOVEMBER with a 2.00pm start and the venue will be he Hare’s Corner at the MDA Mountmellick (left hand side near town on Portlaoise Road). As usual there will be the refreshments (tea,coffee etc.) during of after the quiz. You dont need to bring a team as the teams will be made at random from a draw. Hopefully we will have a good turn-out for first quiz of the year.
The Christmas Social will be the AGM in conjunction with the Christmas Dinner and it looks like we might have to change to the Wednesday 6th December to get the Killeshin Hotel room we had last year. More details and confirmation will follow.
On a sad note sincere sympathy to our fellow member Dinah Kingsley on the tragic death of her niece Kim Damti -the Irish-Israeli girl who was tragically killed in the violent terrorist attack in Israel just over 2 weeks ago. Kim is the daughter of Dinah’s sister Jennifer Cooper originally from Coolrain. Condolences to Dinah and all the Cooper family and to all who knew Kim (R.I.P.).
