Sec Update Septenber 18
Hi members,Our last monthly Social Meeting was fairly well attended with a change of venue for the first Tuesday of September to Abbeyleix Manor Hotel where there was a good chat and get-together. A smaller number then took the nearby Bog walk on the board-walk etc. on a dry pleasant afternoon.
On the following day a group of 10 members or associates attended The Snapper at The Gate Theatre in Dublin for what was an excellent show and hilarious all through. Thanks to Catherine Coleman for initiating our attendance.
Yours truly, as Secretary of the Laois Branch RTAI attended The National RTAI Secretaries Conference in the Gresham Hotel on Thursday last -hearing all the latest especially in relation to Data Protection (and already you may have noticed you are not seeing the list of members at the top of the e-mail-just one of the changes I have to make-and more to come) Also in attendance was President Sheelagh Coyle who opened the conference and Mary McCarthy the District RTAI rep.
The INTO are this year celebrating 150 years and are marking it in various ways.
